Greg, Von, and Bentley in Retirement
March,
2009 update. We are still on the road and loving it. We
will soon be taking off on a road trip on our Harley Davidson Trike
conversion with the idea in mind to visit all 49 Continental U.S.
states during the coming year. If our stamina holds out! I
have started using an image hosting service, Smugmug. The new gallery
can be found at this URL. The link below is still live for archived photos.
Today
is sometime in November, 2008, somewhere in the Arizona desert. We
retired in August (Von) and September (Greg), 2007 after 30 year
careers living in the rainy Willamette Valley of Western Oregon. We
are Rainbirds, living on the road ever since, with Greg recovering from
a major injury to his leg, all of us figuring out just what this full
time RV'ing on the road is all about, and dealing with a very personal
loss of a great friend, Greg's brother-in-law. Somehow we have
made it and are feeling pretty damn good about everything as this is
written. Hopefully it will continue.
This page is just a static portal to our weblog and our photogallery.
The intent of this website is primarily to allow friends and
family to find a place to keep track of us as we move around the
country. Greg will occasionally post a rant about politics in our
Union and in national and state news. But that is rare as he
seems to be getting more and more removed from the feeling of urgency
about things he cannot do much about.
Welcome to our place. It has been a pleasure to build this site.
