I’ll start at the beginning of this road trip for now and will get photos later. We finally pulled out of Salem on Monday afternoon but had to make a short run to Corvallis to drop off the old Taurus Von has been running around in with Jennifer. Back to I-5 and to Canyonville for the first night which we spent in the dry camp area for the Indian Casino. Surprised to find they had a craps table but I played about 20 minutes and doubled my $20.00. Paid for dinner anyway.
Second day out we left at 9:30 am and stopped again at an Indian Casino and dry camped right off the freeway. This one was in Corning. Total cost for lodging first two nights equal zero. Nice start. Also the four meals were only $15.00.
Third day and we stayed on I-5 all the way to Coalinga, or just past it at Sommerville Almond Trees RV Park. A real Oasis on that long barren stretch. Left Corning at 9:30 and pulled in for the night at 8:30pm which brings me up to the present.
So far we are making good time and could make Quartzville tomorrow or more likely the day after.
Now that I seem to have the blog thing sort of worked out I will try to post as we go for a bit.
