Go Ducks!

Big bowl game today but I sure have low expectations. It will be interesting to see what Bellotti and his staff have come up with after the loss of Dixon. We will be heading down to an Indian Casino to watch the game later this morning. It is another beautiful morning in the desert with highs expected to be close to 70.

I checked the statistics for the blog this morning, between my post last night and this post we had 54 hits on the blog site but 43 of them were robots. That I do not understand. We had had one robot hit since the inception of the blog and then suddenly that massive number. I think I have the settings set so this site does not register in any of the search engines but I don’t know if that works or not. I guess I will have to google me in a few days to see if this shows up.

Wishing a happy new year to everyone. We have a regular visitation of some 25 to 30 hits a day so we know someone is paying attention even if nobody choses to post anything. If you all want to remain anonymous just send me an email, I notice that I am receiving a lot fewer emails since we started the blog and I had hoped this would increase two way communication but instead it seems to have done the opposite.

We are having fun keeping this up. We have committed to at least one post a day each. I know that the political blogs I keep up with are better the more frequently they post so we are trying. It may be more difficult to do so from Mexico but we will try.

Mexico looks to be about a week away for us. We have some supplies and a few things to do to the motorhome first and some of the things we need may need to be special ordered. I need to have the rear wheel re-built on my bicycle and buy a trainer that goes on the rear of the bike to make it a stationary bike. Also we need to add some skid wheels under the rear of the motorhome as it drags going into some of the steeper drive way entrances to various shopping facilities.

We also need to find a indoor storage facility for the trailer. We are going to leave it and the Harley in Arizona to simplify things in Mexico. It means we will be relying on the public transportation system there but it is a very good one and will certainly add to emersion in the Mexican culture.

Ovewr the years I have taken several conversational Spanish classes but did not gain much from them. I have a set of tapes from an outfit called Pimsleur and will begin listenting to them. They claim to get you up to a high level converstation in 60 days so we will be spending time listenting to those tapes from now on.

We also need to get the motorhome cleaned out. We have quite a lot of stuff along that does not get used so we will be sorting throough all the things we packed to see what can be eliminated.

Life is good. Happy New Year to all.

Greg
