Bentley

Right now I am sitting at a Barnes & Noble with Von in Tucson. We dropped Bent off this morning (8 AM which is early for us these days) for his tutoring as the vet called it. He is already done and will be ready to pick up in 45 minutes. It is now 10:45. I guess taking those little peanuts is not a big deal for such a little guy.

We drove around much of Tucson yesterday. We bought Von a new bicycle cruiser type with pedal brakes and a three speed hub type gear changer just like we had as kids. Got a basket on the front for the Bent dog. If you know me, that is as far from a bicyle as I could get but Von thinks it is cool and it should get her riding. We dropped my bike off this morning to finally get the repairs done to the damage from the accident and bought a trainer yesterday. This should speed up my physical recovery dramatically.

Tucson as we have seen it so far is pretty run down looking. The suburbs seem to be the only decent looking housing with the core area another victim of “white flight". It is odd to see all the yards with no grass, the parks have grass but it is all what we would consider dead. But today it is warming up and I an finally wearing shorts and sandals!!! Hurray.

It is looking like late next week to get back on the road due to waiting for my bike to get repaired and to get a copy of the book we came to Barnes & Noble to buy but have to order.

We will be moving from the campground we are in tomorrow. They have a 7 day limit. We will probably find an rv park with cable so we can watch NFL playoffs this week end then go to another campground called Catalina.
