On to Mesa

Up at 7 AM this morning (what’s up with that time?) |-|to get some chores done before we drive up north to the Phoenix area.

We are discovering that this is the “in season” and the RV Parks are crowded this time of year around here. We are used to January being the “off season” in Oregon. We called several parks and they did not have room for us for a month stay. So, we did reserve a spot in a park called Good Life RV Resort in Mesa, AZ through the weekend. When we were checking in one of the ladies behind the desk said, “I think we do have a spot for you for a month". We were able to pay to stay a month and it was in the pet owner’s area. It was like this was meant to be our spot and they were saving it for us. It is a really nice RV Park. It is huge, it has 1,156 spaces. Most of the spaces are full time park models with various types of RVs scattered through out. It is a 55+ park and gated. Our neighbors are a happy bunch. We were only here for about an hour and a lady walked up to us with her glass of wine and invited us to a happy hour down the street at one of the resident’s place. We are near the dog run and a lot of pooches walk by our spot. The lesson for Bentley this month is going to be not to bark at every dog that walks by inviting them to play with him. This is going to be quite a challenge since he thinks every body and every dog lives just to play with him. He is quite the talker!
