Bentley has found his voice by Von
Yesterday Bentley started out the day talking at the top of his voice to everybody and every dog that he saw. It was a pretty rough day with Mom chewing him out and trying to make him more sociably acceptable to be in public. Today may be another rough one on poor little Bentley-a bath is in store for him. I don’t know what they have paved the streets with in this RV Park, but whenever Bentley and I go for a walk on the asphalt streets he comes back with little black feet. I feel like I have lost MY dog along the way and brought home another. The streets are real nice looking all black and stuff, but they sure dirty up my little one.
The park has started a weekly newpaper and you wouldn’t believe all the things that they have scheduled for the coming week. It took four pages to list them all. There are a few things that kinda interested me, like the Country Store coming on Saturday selling jewelry, leather goods, etc. and there is going to be a New Inage Fashions shopping experience coming here in the park later this month. They even have a theater group that puts on 3 plays throughout the year. If we were living here full time, that’s something that I would want to get involved in. I have always wanted to be in theater but never had the energy or time while I was working and now we aren’t staying long enough in any one place to pursue it. Maybe some day when we settle down somewhere (don’t know if that will ever happen) I can get into some acting. They even have texas holdem tournements here and Greg was looking at that. We can learn shuffleboard, horseshoes, bridge, you just wouldn’t believe all that they offer for these active seniors. It’s fun to see all this activity going on.
Every day around 3pm the neighbors get together for a little cocktail on one of their porches (the one that has the sunshine that time of day) and chats until it is dark and time to make dinner. We are having a fun time chatting with them, one couple is from Washington so they know quite a bit of the area where we came from. I feel real comfortable staying here while Greg is in Oregon with his family. It might even give poor Greg a break from me for awhile. I can’t believe that for the last 8 months he and I have virtually been together 24/7. I also can’t believe that Greg hasn’t killed me yet!! Maybe he’s really an angel (nah, I just can’t go that far).
Well, it is time for me to give that poor little dirty Bentley a bath and ruin his day again. I will be making up for it with lots of love and kisses though.
