Lonely in Mesa by Von

Bentley and I have been in Mesa now for over 24 hours without Greg. :'( Poor little Bentley thinks he is the man of the house now. He’s wondering where his Dad went. He is currently sitting on the back of a chair looking out the windows and barking at everything, car doors closing, the wind blowing, etc. It’s going to be interesting to see the dynamics when Greg gets back in a few days. Bentley is becoming even more clingy and nutty and won’t let me out of his sight. :> I am finding out how much Greg’s level head with Bentley keeps things on an even keel. Oh well, I am enjoying having the little guy here with me while Greg’s away he is keeping me busy.

Today is going to be a really cold day here in Mesa, AZ. Temps are only going to get into the 50s. The wind started kicking up yesterday and blew all day. It kept up all night and now it is still blowing. I’m kind of getting used to the desert winds. They don’t do any damage like up in Oregon when things seem to fall down when it blows. Here there isn’t anything to fall down. The buildings are built as single floor buildings. They have so much flat land around they don’t build up they build out. Also, of course there is no soggy ground for the wind to rip the nonexistant tall trees out and the palm trees seem to be made for this kind of wind. Going to put on a sweatshirt and stay in the RV and read for the day. Nice and relaxing, if I can settle the little watch dog down.
