Wow! by Greg
The number of hits on our blog has increased dramatically these past two days. We were seeing around 45 per day and it vaulted to 195 yesterday and we already have 99 this morning at 8:00. This does not count a few googlebot hits that we get every day. Wonder what’s going on? It’s kinda cool though if it’s actually new visitors. We enjoy doing this so it’s nice to see it grow like that. It will be interesting to see if this lasts. We still rarely have anyone register/subscribe and post comments. You can do that by going to the bottom of the blog page and click on subscribe in the user function section. Then fill out the brief information needed.
Yesterday we didn’t get out of the motorhome until we went to dinner at 6:30. It rained hard, hard as in Oregon and now we expect a few days in the thirties at night then back to the 70’s daytime highs by the weekend. I hope that forecast is right. The weather guessers here didn’t predict all that rain. We had about three quarters of an inch here in one day. Seems like this year we just can’t escape the winter weather. Oh well. It’s still nicer than in the Pacific Northwest.
I discovered an intersting factoid about Mesa yesterday. It has a population of over 350,000 people and was founded in the 1800’s by Mormon settlers. There are more museums and such downtown than I knew so we may go take a look at them later.
I also received an email from Tracie Weeder at the Insurance Division. She forwarded an email she had received on a consumer complaint file in which the gentleman wanted her thank me for some of the advice I had given him regarding a lawsuit he was involved in. Kinda nice to hear that. The best part of the job is hearing that you actually were able to help someone. Unfortunately the advocates hear a lot more negative than positive and the thank yous they receive are that much more important to hear. Thanks for passing that along Tracie.
We haven’t decided what we will do today but it is a “brighty sun shiney day” so we will be doing something fun.
I didn’t comment on the Superbowl yesterday. We watched here in the motorhome on our little TV. What a great game. The Superbowls have tended to be not such good games over the years but this one was an exeptionally good one. Especially the last quarter. I haven’t been an Eli Manning fan but the desire he showed on the play where he escaped what looked to be a certain sack and tnen the catch against the receiver’s helmet was something else. We may see that replay as much as the niner’s “catch” against Dallas to get to their first Superbowl.
Next up is the NCAA March Madness. That will be here soon.
