Sci-fi by Greg

When I previously blogged about the alternate history/science fiction novel by S.M. Stirling, “Island in the Sea of Time” I didn’t realize it was the first of a trilogy. Fortunately the free library in the RV park had all three novels on the shelves and I was hooked. My eyes still hurt from reading all three in five days. The next two are “Against the Tide of Years” and “On the Oceans of Eternity.” If you like the genre go get ‘em. They are very well researched. I was particularly interested in the tall mast sailing technology that is a major aspect of the book. (At the ripe age of 17 I was tendered an assignment to the U.S. Coast Guard Acadamy which I turned down. No regrets but it would have been a lot of fun to learn to sail on the “Eagle")
