Scottsdale, Carefree, and Cave Creek by Greg
We went to these three cities/towns yesterday. Spent several hours in Old Town Scottsdale which consists of a whole lot of jewelry stores, museums, and art galleries. Unbelievably Von didn’t see anything she wanted but she is not really into turquoise. I bought a silver and turquoise watch band for 20% of the price tag at a going out of business sale. That’s 20% of not off.
We then drove north to the other two towns. We didn’t know anything about them but I thought they might be older type places, sorta downscale. Hah. Yuppieville for the most part with some really incredible million dollar plus homes built into the side of the mountains. We ate an early dinner at a very good Mexican place in Cave Creek. No photos though we should have taken some of the street sculptures in Scottsdale.
Today looks to be another take care of chores day with a lot of paperwork to complete. That never seems to end even in retirement.
