Busy Day in the RV Park

When you stay in an RV Park even the little things become entertainment. Several of us stood around and watched while a crew of several men pulled an old, old park model out of its spot. This old park model trailer was called Mayflower (I think it came over on the Mayflower, it was so old). The word on the street is that it was going to be replaced with a newer park model trailer. That’s good news because usually when they remove a trailer out of these 55+ RV Resorts it’s because some one has passed away. They have these trailers packed so tight in these RV Parks that it was really interesting to watch how they maneuvered it out of its spot. When they drove it out of here, we all then asked, “When are they bringing the new one in?” That will be great fun to watch them get it in that tiny little spot.

Later in the day the street behind us had their annual pizza party. They had about 150 people partying in the street. They had a PA system set up and were playing old people music and a lot of country-western music (not two of my favorites). :-/ They then set up karaoke for all these old farts to sign. More old songs and country-western sung by really old voices. This went on for 5 LONG hours. :'( Greg and I decided that we weren’t old enough yet to really appreciate the line dancing in the street and singing off tune where the entire world can hear us. It is admirable though that these old people are really enjoying themselves. They were celebrating some birthdays for a couple of guys that were 80 and 73 years old. My hope is that I will be around at 80 to be able to dance and sing in the streets, just be able to, not that I want to. It is a hoot to watch these people having so much fun at their ages, it’s kind of like watching a bunch of little kids having fun. :p

In the evening we had a lightening and thunder storm and it was truly amazing to watch the lightening over and around us. It didn’t last very long but was exciting. :!: This morning the sky is totally clear and blue. Great weather.
