Baseball!

As Von says in the earlier post we went to see the Beavs get clobbered by ASU. I also saw ASU play on Friday night. They are a solid team with some great hitting. It will be interesting to see of OSU pulls it together like they did last year. Don’t forget they barely made to the playoffs last year then went on a streak to their ultimate two in a row College World Series win.

I think it has a lot to do with the fact they don’t have the basic talent a team like ASU has. They do it with fine coaching, small ball, and good defense. They didn’t show any of that yesterday. I was particularly dismayed with their second baseman. He had, I think, two errors and a couple of other poorly played balls. But we will see. This is the only OSU team I pull for, since the Ducks had no baseball at all for years and just now re-instituted a program.

We plan to see a couple of spring training games before we leave the area. That should be even more fun. The weather should be getting better for baseball as well. Man, on Friday night I froze my tush off.
