On the job by Greg

Just a quick note while on my lunch hour. Back to work hasn’t been too bad so far. Of course the first thing Monday morning was a staff meeting and that was good to get up to speed, at least somewhat, on what is happening. Then the morning going to a few worksites. The MCEA (Marion County Employees Association) has a diverse work force and reminds me of some of the issues I had in dealing with the Specials Coalition as its co-chair. Many different jobs and bosses with lots of different issues and hot buttons. They are my primary assignment but I also will be working with the Department of Revenue.

The commute is going to kill me. 42 miles one way. I haven’t had much more than a 3 mile commute since 1991. Oh well, it shouldn’t be too long before we can get moved up here.
