Casa Grande
We haven’t written much about Casa Grande because, frankly, there isn’t much to write about Casa Grande. Maybe that’s why we have been enjoying it: we are in a personal time and place where we need to slow down and recover and a boring town is what is called for.
The old town here is not much. Very few old buildings and a seemingly destitute business area. The main action is in miles and miles of strip malls with one newer shopping mall and an outlet mall just off the freeway.
The picture below is of part of a mural on the wall of an old town building. A few more old town pictures are in the gallery. ( that last sentence is a link)
I couldn’t get in position to photo the other 4 panels of this mural. It seems to tell a story and I will be going back earlier in the day when the street is not filled with parked cars. Notice the tags with numbers on the father and child in the right center of the picture. I am curious what they signify.
