Jekyll Island, Brunswick GA

Whew, I’m finally feeling good enough to work on some photos. I am way behind. We camped at a private campground on Jekyll Island just outside of Brunswick on May 1. It is a resort sort of place, the island that is, but it seemed more middle class than any of the Florida areas that we went through. A lot of these types of houses:

I don’t know what they go for, a lot of them were up for sale.

There were some nicer places as well but we didn’t see any of the multi-million dollar homes so common on the Florida coast.

There is a really cool bridge getting over to Brunswick called the Sydney Lanier Bridge. It looks like it is made of sails from a distance.

I’ll work on getting more done as soon as possible. I am posting from a hotel in Cordele, GA, about a hundred miles due south of Atlanta. We rode 200 miles today and are tired but finally getting over whatever flu bug we have been fighting this past week.
