Niagara Falls

Three hundred and fifty miles. We left Lake George at 10 am and arrived at our campsite at 8 pm. That worked out to be 7 and a half hours on the bike per the GPS. It was almost all done on US 20, which crosses the entire US. Rolling hills and frequent small towns slowed us down again but it was a good road and little traffic. We are camped just a few miles from the falls and will be going there this morning.

We are in an RV park and the site we are in is not very level, which raised a bit of a problem with the trailer. The wheels and the box of the trailer are in the center and there are fold outs to both ends with legs supporting them. The box and wheels are in something of a hole compared to the ends so the tent would not tauten up as tight as it had when we set it up the two times previously. It also resulted in the foot of the bend sagging down a couple of inches. That turned out to be less of a problem than you would think since our hips and shoulders were level. At any rate we both slept well after going to bed early. We were plum (plumb?) tired out after the long day in the saddle.

Today should find us in Ohio where we will be able to get a couple of stamps for our National Parks quest. We are still on track to get to the U.P. (Michigan’s Upper Peninsula) by the weekend, most likely Sunday.
