Erie, PA
We made a quick trip to Niagara Falls after we packed up then got onto US 5 and stayed with it to Erie PA. The road stays close enough to the south shore of Lake Erie that you can frequently see it off to the right. The road was good until we hit Pennsylvania. I knew we were in the state without any welcome signs just by the deteriorated roads. You may recall I had no kind words about the roads here when we drove north from Gettysburg to West Virginia. They are no better this far north.
Today we will be staying on I-90 for 70 miles to Eleanor Garfield National Historic Site then to Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial to get a couple more park stamps. Then another KOA (we are in one right now near Erie) tonight. That one will be in Sandusky for a couple of hundred miles.
The new trailer seems to be getting a lot more attention than the other one. One guy walked up while I was finishing gassing up and said it was the best looking Harley he had seen in 30 years.
I apologize again for lack of photos. I think I will be motivated to get some work on the ones we have tonight. We have a lot of them now and going through them will take some time.
