Sandusky still
We are staying here in Sandusky for a total of three nights because the airbags on the trike have begun leaking badly. They have always needed to be pumped back up every morning and would hold the pressure throughout a day of riding but I went to the grocery store yesterday morning and when I came out the pressure was down 20 pounds. (The trike has an on-board air compressor so it is easily pumped up.)
I called the shop in Grants Pass and was told it is still under warranty and he called another Motortrike dealer who is in Bowling Green, about 60 miles from here and only 10 miles off our route. We will be able to take it in there to have it looked at but not until Monday. Hopefully it is just some loose fittings in the airlines and we won’t have t wait for parts.
We got some light rain in the wee hours of this morning but today is supposed to be in the mid seventies and the same tomorrow but with a 50% chance of thunderstorms.
Today we will go up to Put-in-Bay and the Perry Memorial to get another National Park stamp. This one will get us to 17 states and 23 parks. Our goal is 25 states and 50 parks so we will have to get going on more parks. Thankfully South Dakota has about 10 parks in close proximity to Sturgis, Arizona and south Utah have a lot of them, and so does California and we still have those states to go.
