Another 300 mile day, to a KOA on Tucannon Road along the Tucannon River, off of Highway 12. We also took a cut off road, 730, that follows a canyon through the Columbia River to Walla Walla, WA that was very nice. We stopped at the Whitman Mission National Historic Site for another stamp.

We have been on the road for 125 days today and we are still having the times of our lives. Yesterday was the first hot day we have had since we left Florida. Our rain gods have still been with us though. The three days we drove in Oregon, before yesterday, we got rained on in spite of the great weather over all. The rain was only a few drops but it was like mother nature just wanted to remind us that this has been a trip of dealing with bad weather almost the entire way.

Bentley was great yesterday. We got our usual leisurely start at noon and had to get to the visitor center by five o’clock so we were in a bit of a rush. Bent had to stay in the kennel far longer than we usual make him do but he still eagerly got back in for the last 60 miles past Walla Walla to this KOA.

Well, gotta get packed up, for another noon start. We should get in a couple of hundred miles today, all on Hwy 12 over the Lolo Pass to Missoula.
