Taos to Farmington

Monday we got late start but still did over 200 miles through Carson National Forest and Brazos area. We stopped at the misnamed Aztec National Monument. This ancient Indian Village was thought to be an outpost of the Aztec Indians at the turn of the century (20th that is). It has retained the name though as have other features such as Montezuma Creek. A good days ride although on the warm side.

We stayed the night at a Motel 6 which is one I would not recommend. A couple of dudes knocked on our door at about 10:00. Wrong room but they looked like they might be trying to make a drug connection.
